Lady Dafni Villa is located in Maleme, a historic and famous hill hosting the War Cemetery Monument, 18 km from Chania, close to the cosmopolitan resorts and beaches of Platanias and Agia Marina to splash around. The villa is near to mini-markets, taverns and Maleme beach, which is part of the very long stretch of beaches that extends all along the Bay of Chania. Regular buses (20 - 30 min. Drive) from and to Chania and many other popular destinations and sights makes your transportation easy from the villa. Chania is great to explore on-foot some of the greatest samples of architecture of previous centuries in Crete and taste traditional food with a modern twist in quality restaurants. A car is essential to explore the famous beaches of Gramvousa-Balos and Falasarna. The Gorge of Therisso is located near the city of Chania with impressive vertical cliffs and the lush vegetation. If you are after Crete's authentic side, Vafes is the only village of the western Crete that has been listed as preserved in its entirety thanks to its important history and architecture.
